BLACK PR VS. FACTS -- what is The Difference?

How can you tell if someone is just using what Hubbard wrote as Black PR? Black Pr is a tool Scientologists (at least within C of $--that I know of) use to make less of another person.

It is their "tool" to try to discredit someone, in whatever fashion is needed, saying whatever they need to, making up as big or as small a lie they need to in order for others to start to feel less about the person.

Thus the term Black PR. PR is a term for Public Relations. It is what many individuals and companies use to make others interested in them or their products, or to make others think well of them.

Black PR is supposed to have the opposite effect.

So if you're new to this newsgroup, how can you tell if what the person is saying is fact, or just OSA hiding behind a fake name, working to "Black PR" the person?

Here are a few tips:

#1. They will never say who they are. They (OSA) only use anonymous names, from phony accounts. I know as I got roped into setting these phony [Internet] accounts up, until I connected the dots, realized what they were really doing (Stopping Free Speech) and shortly after, I left C of $ forever.

Does that mean everyone using an anonymous account is OSA? Of course not. However, when someone is found connected with a few of the other things I will mention, and they are anonymous there's a good chance it IS an OSA Op.

#2. Black PR, by it's nature, is used to make less of someone. (It could also work for groups, but here on ARS< it's about people). So usually the post will be about a PERSON, vs. an idea, topic, etc.

#3. There will be statements made, with literally no facts or proof to back it up. If someone states: "Jack is a liar, and he is really here to harm this group".

Where is the "fact"? Now sometimes, due to many pointing this out, an OSA op will pull together that Joe said he posted on Friday night and really the post was on Saturday, so "This proves he's a liar". I'll leave that to you to figure out if that is a legitimate "Fact" or a stretch.

Keep in mind, we're dealing with a totalitarian organization, hiding behind the cloak of religion that rips people off, uses mind control, and charges a fortune for it, as well as practices what Hubbard called, "Fair Game" as well as the breaking up families and using medical malpractice. They've got a few SERIOUS irons in the fire, and we who have left, and the critics have MUCHO Serious FACTS about this.

So naturally, they are going to work as hard as they can to keep any and all attention OFF of their abuses, and confuse people about who is posting. This IS their modus operands.

#4: They will never answer legitimate questions. You can ask, and ask again. They might finally answer, but it takes some serious work, and even then you'll find they never really answered you. Hubbard's bottom line was, "Always attack, NEVER defend".

So this you will see, in many different forms.

#5: OSA ops work in generalities constantly. They cannot use specifics, as those are too easy to prove to be wrong. Thus you will read these long, broad, sweeping statements, again without any proof or facts to back them up. All you have to do is ask: Where are the facts to prove this? What is the actual piece of information that backs up the statement?

Most important of all is to make sure you do your own research. I don't suggest counting on any one person. Read a large volume of posts, and more importantly, Web sites. Find facts, information, time and place, names of people, when, where, how, what? With that, you will be able to piece this together and find out what is really true, and what is not.
