"Magoo"
<Magoo44@charter.net>
Throughout my life within Scientology, for 30 years I wittnessed
many different ways the reg's would go about getting money from
people.
The easiest one would think would be the cheapest ones. This isn't
always the case, as they've yet to step on the train. Once they
do, things get a littttle easier, although throught the time I
was there, going to the Reg was always traumatic, until finished.
The registrars are always 'nice' people, of course only interested
in your "future freedom", or whatever buz word they need
to use to light that fire. They also have many tricks up their
sleeves.
Until they really got a bad name with various credit Card
Companies, that was a big one:
Tons of people would re-finance their homes, over and over to pay
for more Bridge actions.
We got an inheritance of $200,000 but since my mother-in-law was
OT 8, she bought us OT 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 instead.
Many people get money for many different reasons, and give it to
C of $, vs using it as they should.
A friend of mine worked at a company for years. They offered
her a lifetime of a rather large sum of money monthly (Enough
so she'd never have to work again) or a large lump sum.
She took the large sum, gave it ALL to C of$ and has been
"Stuck" in the middle of OT5 ever since. What a drag!
One that I never did, but knew people who did, was called,
"Dialing for Dollars".
Literally they would take someone and have them start calling
people they knew, asking for money. Almost always that person
would say "no" but the game was to find people they
knew who might lend the money.
Scientologists are the worst when it comes to paying back loans,
so as the years went on, people had to look farther.
But eventually they would find someone...usually someone they'd
never met, who would agree to loan them this money.
What a route to freedom, eh?
I'm so happy to be out of that trap, I cannot say it enough times!
My best to all,
Tory/Magoo ~in the light~!
