In Scientology they create what they call "Wins".

Originally when I got in, in 1969, most people were training to become auditors.

Due to we doing "The training Route" (Vs Just buying auditing and having a Professional auditor audit you)....our wins usually had to do with learning the tech, how it worked, how we could help another person, etc. Also often people would come up with their own, personal "Wins".

Here is a real win someone said at the end of the night, years ago:

"Tonight on course I realized I can literally study anything by using The Study Tech".

Or

"While reading Dianetics, I realized I have been going more and more downtown (feeling bad) as I've been listening to my sister dramatize her case, taking it out on me!"

Each of these is a considered a "Win".

Or

"It was a win for me to learn about ARC (Affinity, Reality, Communication) and how the three work together. I never knew you could use any of the three to bring up the other two corners of the triangle thus creating "Understanding".

Now imagine sitting in a room with people sharing these 'wins'. Do you think you might come up with some yourself? It's easy to do. The tricky thing is many of them have *some* truth in them, yet also much falsehoods. Let's take ARC.

Is it REALLY true that if you raise one corner of the triangle all the others will raise up? Not at all. They *may* raise up however it's not automatic they will.

But that's what you learned, you then 'realized it' and shared it as a win. It must be true! Thus it spreads....and you have the feeling of "Winning" in Scientology. Also, tack on that NO ONE ever checks what you say, or asks even about it. Mostly people are just supportive of whatever you say. It's quite infectious! (And I'm sure OSA is laughing, thinking how I've proven how great they are. Did I? you tell me.)

But then you move on, get on your OT levels, and now things are secret. You have to speak in "general terms" so no one ever says any REAL wins about the Bt's or Clusters, etc.

"Today I had an OT session, and I was after able to postulate feeling better, and then I did". (DUH)

Also, as the DM regime took over, there was no more giving or sharing of wins.

If public, the staff had to check out your "win" ahead of time, to make sure it was "OK". Literally one day these 'wins' went from ones deep from the heart, to people reading for a camera, 'I really love the new leather couches in the New Sandcastle". YUCK!!!

I even mentioned this to Gold only to have them shun me for years (how dare I have a suggestion). Actually they stopped interviewing me until the last photo in their "Scientology and Successes" magazine that came out THE week I left, with me in it! Hahahahahaha.

Well, that's just a bit about "Wins".
