"Magoo"
<Magoo44@charter.net>
I mentioned this tonight on another post, and realized I haven't
actually mentioned this, I don't think.
As I've posted before, my auditor and best friend, Class 8 OT 7,
Senior C/S, Bill Yaude had asked me to help him out while I was
on OT 7, in the '90's.
At first he asked me to cruise the Internet, looking for NOTS.
To do this, he arrived at my house, and to my shock, he told
me he had something to remove from my computer.
He explained the "Net Nanny" which is a mechanism to
block any and all "entheta."
Ok, so the OSA weirdness began.
Next, he asked me to open one account, and I did it. He explained
it was quite common to open anonymous accounts (and he showed me
on ARS how there were many). The difference was I was going to GO
to the place, and give them cash and get it opened up, right then
and there, which I did.
His response? Bill told me, "Tory, you've just changed the
history of the Internet".
Mine? "How could I possibly have changed the history of the
Internet when I have no clue what it even is, really?"
Ok, he was on his mission to
"handle
the critics" and did this in his home, in the am/pm and
all week-end long, for years.
He told me he'd been on ARS longer than any other Scientologist,
"since the beginning." Of course he had created all
these different identities, fooling them.
Finally, I was asked to help open up more and more accounts. I
asked why? He explained he couldn't tell me, as if he did,
"The evil critics will keep you in deposition forever."
This way you can honestly say, "I don't know".
With that, I did. I was brought then over to OSA Int and Gavino
gave me this waiver to sign, saying I could never, ever tell
any Auditor, Ethics officer, Executive, or person ANY of this.
After reading this, I remember telling Bill, "This sounds
very much like the old GO stuff".
Bill insisted he would NEVER do anything illegal, and this was
ALL fine. Ya... sure.
At first there were 3 of us, and we flew to various places to
open up accounts. This got weirder as this went on. Later,
they realized we didn't need to fly around to open up such
accounts, we could do it on the phone.
One of the volunteers was named Lizzy Apple, real name: Liz
Bradshaw.
She lived in Glendale and so we opened these accounts from her
house. We always used phone card so no one could trace us, and
phony names, phony addresses and phony phone numbers. I've
posted how exactly we did this.
But in another room, she had about 4-6 computers, and I remember
seeing her fly around, back and forth doing something with these.
She told me not to worry, it didn't matter.
Do you think SHE was doing this back end spamming with
these computers?
I just thought I'd ask.
I still hope the back end spammers come out and tell the rest
of the story.
My best to all :)
